Primary function:

Learn oilfield instrument and control system maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in new oil-field instrument and control system commissioning and start-up.
  • Assist in collecting instrument and control system-related issues left out by the engineering unit and follow up.
  • Get familiar with instrument systems, control systems, ESD and Fire & Gas system principles, position and performance.
  • Learn to manage emergency shutdown logical, reset methods and cooperate with the production team to continue production efficiently.
  • Learn to manage emergency response as per emergency response plan.
  • Assist with routine instrument and control system checks and records management.
  • Participate in handling instrument and control system-related faults and report to senior instrument technicians, cooperate with other departments when necessary.
  • Assist in carrying out instrument preventive maintenance properly as per the PM plan.
  • Ensure worksite cleanliness and safety is maintained.
  • Coordinate and supervise instrument-related contractor onsite work.
  • Execute instruction from senior instrument technicians.
  • Perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrument, Electrical Engineering or Automation-related major.
  • 0-2 years’ work experience is preferred with Oil & Gas industry background.

Knowledge

 Knowledge of instrument and automation operation.

 Experience with instrument and automation maintenance.
