Finance Trust Bank was licensed as a Tier 1 Commercial Bank on 11th November, 2013, taking over the financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited (MDI). Today Finance Trust Bank is a fully-fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 500,000 depositors and over 37,000 borrowers, through a network of 35 branches country wide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
In order to meet the needs of its growing customer base, the company is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated, result oriented professionals to fill the following position;
Relationship Manager – Employee Banking
This position reports directly to the Manager Employee banking based at the Head Office.
Role of the job
Accountable for managing and sustaining a portfolio of schemes, of companies and other institutions, that have signed up for scheme banking and personal financing solutions for their employees, managing consistency, risk, quality of operational service and turn-around time.
Key Result Areas:
1. Act as a contact for the Schemes, perform appropriate promotional, loyalty and public relations activities in the schemes, coordinating the communication in the schemes including agreed service standards, pricing, relationship team contact points and any product changes
2. Work with the Employee banking team & Branch Managers including Regional Managers and Branch business supervisor to drive delivery of targets through the Schemes value proposition.
3. Work closely with the Schemes administration team to ensure timely invoicing and repayment of loans taken. Pick and follow up with Branches any non-repayment cases in the schemes portfolio
4. Communicate with and train the Employee banking team on the product offering and requirements for the schemes, managing the quality of credit files prepared by the Employee banking team.
5. Ensure excellent business relationships are in place with all internal and external stakeholders, so as to add optimum value
6. Manage the respective Schemes’ customer complaints and resolution with the Branches
7. Research, review and recommend product or process changes for personal credit in line with customer needs and market changes
8. Monitor and ensure adherence to risk service standard.
Minimum educational and technical competence requirements:
• A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management or any relevant field.
• Possession of a Certified banking qualification or master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
• Relevant Practical training in Employee banking product management.
• Excellent understanding of the Bank, its strategy and all of its Banking services.
• Solid and proven credit skills with relevant business experience and acumen.
• Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Banking or similar environment of which 3 must be in a Sales, Schemes and People management function.
• Must have an in-depth understanding about Employee banking product features, pricing, benefits, positioning, design and promotions.
• Advanced, computer literacy, numerical skills and statistical skills.
• Team player, ability to work under pressure, and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
• Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries.
• Ability to demonstrate positive image and role model FTB’s values and leadership behaviours.
• Must be a person of impeccable integrity.
