ARC has been operational in Uganda since 1994, and today has a strong and committed team of over 130 regular, full time national staff and partners. ARC is looking for a competent, qualified, self-driven and committed individual to join our Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Team in Bidi Bidi in the position of Water and Sanitation Assistant, based at ARC Bidi Bidi Office. The position reports to Sanitation Officer.

Water and Sanitation Assistant (1 position)
Reports to: Sanitation Officer
Location: Bidi Bidi Office

Job summary:
The water and Sanitation Assistant will be responsible for implementingWASH activities and ensure delivery of safe water and improved sanitationand hygiene practices to the communities in the assigned location.

Min imum qualifications

• A Minimum of a Diploma in water Engineering, Environmental Health, Public Health, Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering.
  
• Aminimum of two years' experience in similar field or role.
  
• Possession of TOT training in PHAST, CHAST, CLTS or DRRmethodologies required.
  
• Must have a Valid Riding Permit.
  
• Strong Knowledge of the local population and language is an added advantage.
