Job Purpose
This role is responsible for the provision of overall strategic direction for the Finance function with a key focus on corporate finance, financial reporting, providing a framework of planning and ensuring that the balance sheet exposure and bottom-line performance are managed efficiently and effectively.

Key Result Areas
1. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations of the Company and steer the development and delivery of the Finance Strategy within the overall Corporate Strategy to deliver sustained growth of shareholder value.
2. Coordinate the business planning and budgeting initiatives of the Company in respect to its revenue requirements on an annual, medium term and long-term basis for both Corporate and Projects.
3. Responsible for the Company’s financial accounting and reporting requirements and operational financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
4. Manage the Company’s financial risks and develop appropriate controls to minimize exposures to the Company.
5. Manage quarterly financing reporting and management accounting.
6. Manage annual external audit.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable statutory codes and accounting principles, regulations, financing agreements and financial reporting framework (IFRS).
8. Build and strengthen effective stakeholder management mechanisms including but not limited to regulators, project financers, banks, sector players, tax authorities, government ministries, agencies & departments, customers, clients and suppliers within the ambit of Finance Department.
9. Ensure compliance to policies, systems and processes to safeguard Company assets.
10. Lead the Company tax planning measures in consultation with Management team and staff on management and utilization of the Company’s resources.
11. Organize, lead and manage the Finance Department in accordance with the Staff Regulations and other Company Policies.

The desired person should have the following essential requirements:
1. Master’s Degree in either of the following disciplines – Economics, Commerce, Finance, Accounts or Business Administration is a must.
2. University Degree with honours in either of the following disciplines – Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Finance, Accounts, Business Administration or Engineering.
3. Must possess a professional Accounting Qualification such as ACCA, CPA or its equivalent and must be a member of ICAPU.
4. Should have demonstrated experience in financial accounting, management, management accounting and taxation.
5. Should have at least Five (5) years’ experience as Finance Manager in a reputable organisation.
6. Familiarity with the electricity and energy sector is an added advantage.

3. Proven record of integrity
4. Excellent interpersonal, particularly staff/management relation, oral and written communication skills.
5. Must possess a valid driving permit.
