JOB DETAILS:
Overall purpose of the job: The overall purpose of the job is to operate boilers and co-generation auxiliaries in the field according to the respective shifts. This includes ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of boilers and related equipment, allocating tasks to subordinates, managing staff and materials, operating the Boiler DCS system, and adhering to safety, health, and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Check and ensure the proper functioning of boilers and auxiliaries, including steam lines, PRDS, fans, bagasse carriers, ash water clarifiers, pumps, air compressors, ESP, ash handling system, and other related equipment.
2. Allocate jobs to subordinates and monitor their performance.
3. Manage staff and materials under your responsibility.
4. Maintain staff discipline and motivation.
5. Operate the Boiler DCS system.
6. Act as a substitute for the supervisor - Boiler DCS in their absence.
7. Work under the guidance of the shift superintendent - Co-generation.
8. Manage bagasse storage sheds.
9. Adhere to and enforce the company's safety, health, and environmental policies.
10. Perform any other duties assigned or delegated by the shift superintendent or management within the company.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: Education:
• Completion of a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Experience, Skills, and Competences:
• Three years of experience in operating Co-Generation plants.
• Proficiency in high-pressure boiler operations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and adherence to operational guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and superiors.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing work conditions.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high standard of performance.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
