JOB DETAILS:
OVERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role is responsible for the transportation of eggs to and from the Hatchery, coupled with the delivery of chicks to customers. In addition, the job holder will ensure that all vehicles are in a road-worthy condition and have met all statutory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver and collect eggs to the Hatchery and deliver chicks to customers safely and on a timely basis. Confirm the number of products ordered and dispatched and at the point of delivery.
• Monitor and maintain cooling fans, curtain management and air conditioning temperature to ensure products are transported in optimal conditions with minimal defects or harm.
• Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles through routine inspection and reporting of defects. Ascertain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures. Make certain that vehicle hygiene is maintained, and biosecurity measures are adhered to.
• Communicate with farmers in liaison with the day-old chicks and Broiler Departments' representatives when the need arises.
• Perform any other duties that shall be assigned.

CANDIDATES PROFILE
• Minimum O' Level Certificate required.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the category of heavy commercial vehicles.
• International Driving experience will be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience driving medium and heavy-duty vehicles with experience in:
• Handling and transporting fragile/sensitive products.
• Having worked in transportation of eggs will be an added advantage.
