Opportunity
FINCA Uganda is looking for a dynamic person to join their team of professionals as the Agricultural Lending Manager. Details are highlighted as follows:

Job Title: Agricultural Lending Manager
Duty Station: Kampala
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

SUMMARY
The Agricultural Specialist provides assistance and advice to Agricultural lending staff as well as farmers, agro-processes, input dealers and livestock producers.

Develop the product, growth of the Agriculture lending product within the business and manage the risk related to agribusiness at FINCA Uganda.

Build capacity within staff handling the product at all levels and is accountable for their deliverables

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical Agricultural support to Branches.
• Analyse Agricultural data and prepare reports for Management
• Support Branches to achieve set targets, staff capacity and client growth
• Training of Loan Officers and Supervisors regarding agricultural lending .
• Review the Agricultural policy and procedures and compare to market requirement.
• Manage the marketing of the agricultural product
• Design Credit analysis tools and forms
• Assess the profitability of the product and implement strategies of growing the Agricultural loan product.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture and a Master’s degree or equivalent in an area relevant to agricultural and rural development will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role would be an advantage
• Conversant with local languages
• Demonstrated ability to work with a broad spectrum of Organizations
