Centre for Development innovation (CDI) is the interdisciplinary and internationally focused unit of Wageningen University & Research. The Integrated Seed Sector Development (ISSD) Plus Uganda programme is coordinated by CDI and implemented by Wageningen UR Uganda, the legal entity in Uganda. This is a tour year project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kampala.

The ISSD Plus project aims to strengthen the development of a vibrant, pluralistic and market-oriented seed sector that is able to address key challenges that hamper the seed sector development such as seed quality assurance and availability of foundation seed. In addition, the project has four field based stations at 4 NARO zonal offices. The project supports farmer groups to become local seed businesses producing quality declared seed in those zones.

The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is a Public international Organization governed by an international board of directors with representation from developed and developing nations. IFDC is implementing a 4-year REACH-Uganda Project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kampala.

These two projects are cohoused in the same building at Studio House plot 5 Bandali Rise Bugolobi.

Wageningen UR Uganda is recruiting:
Wageningen UR Uganda and IFDC are seeking to recruit a keen Communication Advisor with excellent communication and organization skills and experience in promoting agriculture to serve the two projects. This position is based in Kampala.
