GOGO Electric. is a Ugandan social innovations company that has developed an intelligent energy storage system for productive use.
We assemble Lithium-ion batteries and are committed to advancing environmentally friendly transportation and lowering carbon emissions through our battery swap station technology. Our company aims to make electric motorbikes a practical and affordable mode of transportation for everyone.
Job Purpose:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to address business questions through data analysis. This role involves handling various data-related requests and enhancing data ingestion and transformation processes.
SQL will be used heavily, so an advanced SQL level coupled with a strong ability to understand data are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Report and Dashboard Management:
• Create, update, and maintain reports and dashboards to track various company KPIs.
• Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly and provide actionable insights for different departments.
Data Analysis:
• Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to answer business questions and provide insights.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Management Support:
• Collaborate with the management team to understand their data needs and provide timely and accurate data solutions.
• Support a wide range of data-handling requests, including ad-hoc analyses and reporting.
Data Quality Audits:
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality aligns with company policies and standards.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
Data Ingestion and Transformation:
• Support the creation and maintenance of back-end data ingestion processes.
• Develop and optimize data transformation workflows to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis or similar role.
• Advanced SQL skills (must).
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
• Understanding of relational database theory, data preparation, and data acquisition.
• Bonus skills: R, Python, Google Cloud solutions (Google Data Studio, BigQuery),
non-relational databases, Big Data, Git, dbt (data build tool).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Self-motivated and focused on achieving targets and goals.
• Effective team collaborator with excellent communication abilities.
