JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary:
The Field Officer will work with HAC staff and partners (majorly Govt. Health Facilities and rural communities) to conduct community organizing activities, expand work to new villages and Districts
where need be, collect relevant data, and network with relevant officials.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure KPs (and their clients) receive KP HIV combination prevention package including HTS and PrEP, and STI screening, testing and syndromic management
• Support retention, and active follow-up
• of all KPLHIV in care, and compilation of weekly reports on retention indicators.
• Work with the ART clinic teams to track PLHIV KPs who miss appointment
• Ensure clients that are non-suppressed are offered IAC and enrolled on the Integrated Community Services Delivery Model
• Follow up and ensure KPs who are enrolled on the KP program are retained and get their scheduled HIV test visits
• Work closely with KP peers to track clients for PrEP refills to improve retention
• Actively engage KP peers to ensure prevention commodities are available and accessible to the KPS
• Follow up PLHIV KPS due for Viral Load draw, for better treatment outcomes Work closely with the different stake holders to mobilize KPs for prevention services for better reach and uptake of services
• Work closely with the CBOs and KP peers to conduct quarterly mapping of hotspots, and their geo-mapping
• Conduct meetings with KPs to identity areas of improvement in service delivery
• Act as a liaison between the IP KP representatives and the key populations, to provide two-way feedback
• Conduct interviews/RCAs among the KPs and PPs for better uptake and service delivery
Required Education, Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in social sciences and social administration or related Field
• Leadership certificate as an added advantage
Other desired attributes
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Proficient in interpreting and analyzing diverse data, understand pediatric HIV epidemiology
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve set goals.
• Ability to meet very tight deadlines.
Physical Ability.
• Ability to permanently reside in Luwero.
Supervisory Controls: The individual will serve under the immediate supervision of the Program Officer Key Population.
Contract Tenure: 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funding.
