Our client is a reputable institution designed to support the government of Uganda to realize its objective of promoting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to become the main vehicle for expanding production, providing sustainable jobs, enhancing economic growth and alleviating poverty. Our client is now seeking to recruit competent, dynamic and experienced individuals to fill the positions below:
Enterprise Development Officer
The Enterprise Development Officer is responsible for delivering training and business advisory services to Micro, Small and Medium [MSME] Clients in strict compliance with the organization's policies and guidelines. .
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends in Uganda’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
• Provide business mentor-ship and advisory services to micro, small and medium Clients.
• Develop and sustain solid relationships with customers and stakeholders in order to generate high volume of prospective clients.
• Prepare and deliver business training to entrepreneurs and other clients.
• New product development — Design new training product offerings, including on-line offerings.
• Produce training and end-of-activity reports.
• Write business plans for clients.
• Initiate and develop project proposals for
• submission to potential funders.
• Supervise teams of external business counselors to ensure achievement of assignment objectives.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires the following minimum qualifications:
• A Master’s Degree in a Business-related field.
• At least three [3] years’ experience working with a reputable organization that supports MSMEs and provides non-financial business advisory services.
• Experience in the design and delivery of capacity building interventions to MSMEs.
• Good proposal writing skills.
• Strong ICT skills.
• Age limit 40 years

• Self-driven person with well-developed oral, written and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and be challenged.
• Leadership.
• Flexibility and ability to work with different teams.
• Strategic, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated high level of integrity.
