EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR PROVISION OF PEST CONTROL SERVICES IN WFP WAREHOUSES

DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT:
The World Food Programme Uganda Country office is inviting competent and financially stable business entities that have the expertise, capability and experience to provide pest control services in food storage facilities at locations in the following districts:
Adjumani, Agage, Arua, Buyende, Dokolo, Gulu, Hoima,
Iganga, Isingiro, Jinja, Kaabong. Kampala, Kamuli, Kamwenge, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Kiboga, Kikube, Kotido, Kyegegwa, Lamwo, Masindi, Mbarara, Moroto, Moyo, Nakapiripirit, Napak, Ntungamo, Omoro, Oyam, Serere, Tororo and Yumbe. Pest control services include among others fumigation, spraying, control of termites, rodents, bats, birds, and reptiles.
Prospective firms should possess capacity to provide required pest control materials and equipment, trained and licensed technicians and transportation to locations all over Uganda.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. WFP reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. WFP also reserves the right not to invite a firm that submitted an EOI, thus responding to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that the business firm/ organisation will be considered for receipt of the solicitation if- and-when-issued.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT WITH THE EOI:
Business firms and organizations interested in participating in the planned solicitation process should forward their EOI to UNWFP by email as indicated below. To be deemed eligible for the pre-
qualification process, firms are required to submit all the below listed documents within the EOI to the WFP Kampala office by e-mail:
An original letter of support from the firm's/organization principal financial banker outlining the firm's/organization’s financial status and credibility. If such a letter is issued in the name of an individual (guarantor) related to the firm/ organization, clearly state the guarantor's exact position in the firm/organization and/or other links with the firm/ organization.
Completed WFP Transport and Logistics Services Questionnaire. Interested companies should request for the WFP Transport and Logistics Services Questionnaire via email on kampala.logisticscontracting@wfp.org
A valid fumigation license for both the company and the fumigators (pest control technicians) issued by the Agricultural Chemicals Board of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
Business firm's/organization Audited Financial Statements for at least two of the past three years (2021, 2022 and 2023) or expressed intention to provide such statements within one month (including bank statements).
Business firm's/organization Certificate of Incorporation or registration.
Company's tax registration certificate (including VAT).
Evidence of registration in Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing System (EFRIS)
Income tax clearance certificates for at least two of the past three years (2021, 2022 and 2023).
Company's current trading license
Copies of Organization/ Business firm's policies on
Anti-fraud & anti-corruption practices, Prevention of sexual exploitation & abuse, and Gender parity in the staff structure.
Letters of reference from three existing clients.
Inventory of requisite pest control materials and equipment and list of items that that can be readily mobilised.
