Job Title: Finance & Admin Officer: Vacancies: 1
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Location: Kampala
Starting Date: 01 st December 2019
Job summary: The Finance/Admin Officer will be responsible for the performance of a variety of duties categorized by either financial or administrative support including front desk customer sen/ice, posting the daily transactions, preparing deposits, coding, verifying and reconciling accounts, payroll processing, purchase orders, invoices, cheque, bank statements..
Essential Function;
Financial Support includes;
Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets, maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions, monitor all bank deposits and payments on daily basis, and prepare balance sheets and invoices, maintains accounting controls, recommending policies and procedures, reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information, prepares payments, follow up and requesting disbursements, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations
Administration functions includes;
Produce a range of documents including letters/emails and presentations as required, handling office tasks, act as a first point of contact for the service, including enquiries screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party, assist in other HR related as assigned
Position Requirement: Degree from recognized University in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field with minimum of 2 years in similar role in a giant setup. Understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, administrative procedures, computer literate, high levels of professionalism, creativity and flexibility.
Essential: CPA and knowledge of using accounting software like Quick Books and Tally
