Living Water International ( LWI ) exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water" the gospel-of Jesus Christ — which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Living Water is providing safe drinking water, Community Mobilisation & Gospel Proclamation, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion to communities across Africa.

LWI UGANDA PROGRAM:

LWI Uganda program was established in 2009 as an affiliate of Living Water International based in Houston, Texas, USA operating in 19+ countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and India,

LWI Uganda runs an integrated WASH program in South Western Uganda working in the districts of Ntungamo, Kiruhura and Ibanda. LWI Uganda been operating in Uganda since 2009 providing safe clean water, Christian Witness, Sanitation and Hygiene services and Capacity building of communities in operation & maintenance of wells. Our water team has also installed alternative water points in several districts of Uganda besides drilling and are looking to expand to Eastern and Northern Uganda by 2021. LWI Uganda seeks to recruit a passionate, dynamic, and competent person to fill the position of Finance Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
The Finance Manager (FM) is a member of the senior management team and reports directly to the Country Director. He/ She provides financial oversight to programs and ensures smooth operation of the finance function and key aspects of Administration. He/She is the chief advisor to the program on all aspects of budgeting, financial systems, periodic reporting, procurement systems, assets/fleet management, grants and contract management and staff. The FM also undertakes and supports periodic auditing and ensures compliance to policies, quality standards, regulations and controls in place.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• University Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting, Business Economics/Finance.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field will be added advantage.
• Professional qualification in CPA or ACCA
•  5 years‘ progressive work experience in Finance in an emergency and development context.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking and quick decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in computer especially Excel, MS Word, presentation
• Working experience with Quick Books accounting software.
• High level of Integrity/ethics, commitment and respect for diversity
• Self-driven, attention to detail,

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge and familiarity with rules and regulations of major donors & partners like USAID, EU, DFID, will be an added advantage.
• Experience in WASH sector.
