The Company

Our digital platform delivers scalable and verifiable sexual reproductive health services for young people in 6 main markets in Sub Saharan Africa - Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa and Burkina Faso. For this position, we are happy to accept applicants based in Nairobi, Kenya, or Kampala, Uganda.

The Job
You are responsible for recruiting new Tiko colleagues! This includes managing the entire hiring process, from understanding the needs of hiring managers and advertising jobs to shortlisting applicants, actively searching for candidates, and guiding candidates and hiring managers through each step.
• Actively search for candidates across Africa, and Europe.
• Work closely with hiring managers in order to coordinate, and streamline the hiring process.
• Pre-screen applicants, ensuring they’re a fit from both a skills, and culture perspective.
• Write reports about candidates' experiences, providing your critical insights to hiring managers.
• Respond to all applicants in a timely manner using our Applicant Tracking System.
• You make sure Tiko is an attractive employer to the right candidates. You write and post job adverts on various platforms.
• You are tech-savvy and comfortable working across various platforms. We work with BambooHR, Asana, Slack, Cronofy, and Google workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet).
• You'll run, get involved with, and help out colleagues on other projects as needed.

About you
You enjoy interacting with people and possess a natural ability to put them at ease, such as when conducting pre-screens. You are an effective communicator, taking time to listen to applicants and understand the requirements from hiring managers. Having recruited on a global scale, you are confident in recruiting across multiple locations.
• 6+ years of recruitment experience in an agency or in-house.
• NGO Recruitment experience is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in tech recruitment.
• Significant experience in recruiting in the African market.
• Experience in active sourcing and Boolean search.
• You can manage 10+ recruitment processes simultaneously.
• You are process-oriented with a keen eye for detail.

Recruitment process:
• First interview with the Recruitment Team Lead + Global Recruiter
• Sourcing test
• Final interview with the Chief People Officer

The Rewards
At Tiko we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The salary brackets per month for this position is Ksh216,050 - Ksh324,080 gross in Kenya and UGX5,266,147 - UGX7,899,220 gross in Uganda. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
