JOB DETAILS:
Reports to: Safety Manager

Qualification and Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in health, safety, security, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is an advantage.

Experience and Knowledge:
• At least 5 years of experience in health, safety, security, and environmental management in construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international safety standards and regulations.
• Proven experience in managing safety and environmental protocols on large-scale construction projects valued at $30 million or more.

Job Summary:
The HSSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the construction site adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role involves planning and implementing safety programs, conducting site inspections, training staff, and minimizing risks on the construction site. The HSSSE Engineer will also be responsible for emergency response and incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement safety and environmental protocols for construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Provide training to workers on health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Investigate and report accidents or incidents, ensuring proper corrective measures are taken.
• Monitor compliance with safety laws and regulations, ensuring that all workers follow safe working practices.
• Ensure that the construction site meets all legal and regulatory environmental requirements.
