JOB DETAILS:
The Kampala Business Lounge is a new project set to open in Downtown Kampala in July.
We would like to get the team ready so that training can take place and have the hired staff present from inception and thus able to fit into the system.

Position: Mixologist

Job summary:
The mixologist will be responsible for crafting unique and innovative cocktails that delight our guests. You will leverage your knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients to create memorable and visually stunning drinks.

Key responsibilities:
1. Cocktail Creation: Develop and execute a diverse range of cocktail recipes that showcase creativity, flavour balance, and quality ingredients.
2. Menu Development: Collaborate with management to design and update cocktail menus, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends, customer preferences, and the overall brand concept.
3. Ingredient Procurement: Source high-quality ingredients, including spirits, mixers, garnishes, and specialty items, to maintain consistency and elevate the cocktail experience.
1. Beverage Presentation: Pay meticulous attention to detail when preparing and presenting cocktails, focusing on aesthetics, garnishing techniques, and glassware selection.
2. Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.
3. Bar Maintenance: Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in the bar area, including proper storage of ingredients, regular equipment maintenance, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
4. Training and Education: Stay abreast of industry trends, techniques, and new product releases, and share knowledge with colleagues through training sessions and workshops.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in a high-volume, upscale establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and mixology techniques, with a passion for experimentation and creativity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and collaborate with team members.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently exceptional drinks and service.
