Who we are...The Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda was formed by the Government of Uganda to ensure that depositors of financial institutions regulated by Bank of Uganda are paid their protected deposits in the unlikely event of closure of a Contributing Institution. Pursuant to the Financial Institutions (Amendment) Act, 2016, the Fund was established as a legal entity.
