JOB DETAILS:
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: To manage the Production Department operations in a safe, professional, efficient and profitable manner.

REPORTING TO: You will report directly to the Technical Director and Managing Director.

DIRECT WORKING RELATIONS: You will be working directly with ENGSOL Production team; ENGSOL Heads of Department; ENGSOL customers and ENGSOL suppliers.

MAIN DUTIES:

Operational:

• To plan, manage and direct the operations of the Production Department.
  
• Ensuring the health, safety and environment standards, policies and procedures are adhered to for the welfare of all people who work in the Production Department and any visitors whilst they are in the Production area.
  
• Continual reinforcement and follow up of wearing / using PPE’s wherever necessary.
  
• Preparation and implementation of Production Department Policies and Procedures Manual.
  
• Supervision of any sub-contractors doing jobs on behalf of the company and ensuring that they adhere to Production Department Health & safety standards and policies.
  
• To achieve production and financial targets as established and agreed.
  
• Certify standard of work conducted and quality of finished products ensuring that the work is done properly first time.
  
• Coordinate and monitor all activities in the Production department including design of items to be fabricated, preparation of quotations, ordering of required materials, checking all aspects of the production, quality checking before delivery to customers.
  
• Managing and controlling Production Department costs and expenses.
  
• Visiting customers to discuss work and potential jobs.
  
• Provide training and regular instructions to the Production Team and facilitate the growth, development and learning of the Team.
  
• Liaison, cooperation and support of all other ENGSOL Departments.
  
• In cooperation with Human Resources, recruit, evaluate, confirm and terminate employment for Production Department.
  
• Cooperation, support and involvement in all other company activities and projects as requested.

Documentation:

• Timely preparation and submission of weekly work progress reports to be submitted to the Technical Director and Managing Director.
  
• Design of equipment, items to be fabricated; costing of the fabrication; preparation of the quotations; costing of the final jobs.
  
• Timely preparation and submission of monthly reports as developed and agreed.

Personal:

• Maintenance of personal health and hygiene standards.
  
• Awareness of risk and safety and promotion of the EHS policy in all areas of business.
  
• Adherence and compliance to ENGSOL HR Policies and Procedures.
  
• Living the ENGSOL values.
  
• Self-development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum degree in Engineering
  
• Auto-CAD competency
  
• Practical knowledge of welding, cutting
  
• MS Office skills
