Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Development Studies; or Public Administration and Management; or Business Administration (Management option); or Arts; or Law from a recognized University / Institution. Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Protection; or Social Development; or Social Justice will be an added advantage.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in Programme Planning, implementation and management/ administration, which should have been served at Senior Officer level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Program Manager for performing the following duties:-

- Designing and implementing strategies and programmes aimed at achieving the development objectives of the Council for Older Persons;
- Developing and implementing training programmes for the Council for Older Persons;
- Developing work plans and budgets for the programs and activities of the Council for Older Persons;
- Providing technical support and guidance on implementation of the Council’s programmes;
- Preparing project proposals for the implementation of the Councils’ programs;
- Carrying out needs assessment for the Council for Older Persons and communicating them to the relevant stakeholders;
- Planning and carrying out capacity building for Districts and lower Local Government Councils to improve support to the Council for Older Persons;
- Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Councils’ programmes and activities;
- Managing the performance of staff;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
