REQUEST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION) UNDER OPEN BIDDING
KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS PROJECTS
The Government of Uganda through Kyambogo University (Contracting 2. Authority) intends to involve private partners in developing two projects under Public Private Partnership arrangement.
Kyambogo University is the second largest Public University in Uganda. It was established in 2003 under the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001 and has since grown with a student population of about 35,000 in 2024. The University under its Resource Mobilisation and Investment Policy has adopted the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model for infrastructure development.

Project 2: Multi-Purpose Sports Complex with a Business Centre; This [Specify project and Lot should be delivered not later than 30th August 2024 project is allotted into two (2) lots; by 2:00 PM local time to the address below.
Lot 1: Multipurpose Sports Complex
Lot 2: Business Centre
The Maximum number of Lots a bidder may bid for is 2 The Maximum number of Lots to be awarded to one bidder is 2 Bidders are free to express their interest for either Project 1, Project 2 or both.
Accordingly, the University now invites private partners to take part in Submission of Expression of Interest development of the following two projects.

1. Project 1: Students' Accommodation; This project is allotted into three (3) lots;
Lot 1: Students' accommodation to house 2,700 to 2,800 beds
Lot 2: Students Accommodation to house 3,500 to 3600 beds
Lot 3: Students' Accommodation to house 3600 to 3,700 beds
The Maximum number of Lots a bidder may bid for is 3 Lots.
The Maximum number of Lots to be awarded to one bidder is 3 Lots.

Interested and competent companies with capability to design, build, finance and operate the required infrastructure, should submit a letter requesting for a pre-qualification document by sending an email to: pppprojectoffice@kvu.acug, rbataringaya@gmail.com not later than 26 August 2024 specifying which project and lot (s) they are applying for. The request shall include the following information: company name, contact person(s), contact details (email, telephone and physical address). The detailed qualification requirements for each lot are documented in the Request for Pre-qualification document.
