JOB DETAILS:
Reports to: CEO
Terms of Employment: Fixed-term contract (12-18 months)
Salary: Fixed Base Pay (to be shared for the selected applicant).
Expected start date: 1st May 2023
Location: Entebbe, Uganda
Basic Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in sales or a related field. Experience in waste management or environmental services may be an added advantage.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of sales representatives.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with their team members.
• Basic math and computer skills. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
• Basic understanding of the waste management industry and the services offered by the company
Key Responsibilities
• Setting sales goals and targets: The Sales Team Lead is responsible for setting realistic sales targets for the team and ensuring that the team is aligned with the company's overall sales strategy.
• Developing sales strategies: The Sales Team Lead works with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies that will help the team reach its targets.
• Managing the sales team: The Sales Team Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the sales team, including scheduling sales meetings, conducting performance evaluations, and providing coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Tracking sales performance: The Sales Team Lead is responsible for tracking the performance of the sales team and ensuring that the team is meeting its targets. This may involve analyzing sales data, monitoring customer interactions, and making changes to sales strategies as needed.
• Recruiting and training new team members: The Sales Team Lead is responsible for recruiting and training new sales team members, and for ensuring that new hires are integrated into the team effectively.
• Representing the sales team: The Sales Team Lead may be responsible for representing the sales team in meetings with senior management, and for communicating the team's goals and progress to the rest of the company.

Mon - Friday (8am - 6pm).
