Key Focus
The incumbent assists with the day to day administration of facilities security systems and
Processes, including the overseeing of the respective facilities security guard both internal
and outsourced, through own efforts.

Descriptor

• Ensuring security of staff and property [Nakawa Business Centre, UAP Kimathi Street).
  
• Ensuring security of staff working in the branches and satellites offices
  
• Investigation of security breaches and theft and irregularity on company assets.
  
• Coordinating BCP for respective Business Units.
  
• Monitoring of the CCTV system.
  
• Coordinating evacuations and evacuations on need basis.
  
• Daily management of company vehicles and drivers.
  
• Maintaining security equipment in good working order.
  
• Coordinating secure transfers for all staff tor all business travels

Accountabilities

Security Maintenance

• Assist in administering security equipment and ensuring that the equipment is maintained to standard. Using a Maintenance Service Report from the vendor as a management toll.
  
• Assists in conducting routine spot checks on security equipment for maintenance purposes.
  
• Responsible for attending to faults on equipment and liaising with the Business Security manager regarding any specialized cases.
  
• In liaison with the Business Security Manager, attends to security reports on security equipment failure, breach of security procedures, and incidences recorded in the
  Occurrences Book from Departmental Managers, Guards or from Security System reports via Messenger or the phone.
  
• Attends to Security Action Reports as assigned by the Business Security Manager.
  
• Assists in the selection of any replacement / new Security equipment as required by the chief Security Officer.

Premises security:

• Assists with security investigations e.g. thefts, damage to property, other irregularities and industrial accidents
  
• Assists with on-the—job training of staff on security procedures and standards and security awareness.

Personal Effectiveness

• Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.
