We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Prepare and submit tender documents, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse and report on project costs, including forecasting and budgeting.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective project delivery.
- Analyse and negotiate contracts, tenders, and variations
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, disputes, and claims
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
B) Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fields
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP,) is an added advantage
- Professional certification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, laws, and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Bluebeam, Autodesk).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
