POSITION PURPOSE:
The Cotton On Foundation is passionately driven by our team to deliver quality education for the children and youth of Uganda. We mobilise and build ownership in community to ensure this purpose becomes a reality via our four pillars of Education, Health, Sustainability and Infrastructure. We do this via meaningful work that is measurable, built on strong relationships and is changing lives. We continuously look to improve and innovate in order to ensure that our work is having the maximum impact in the communities where we work. We drive to make every child, community member and COF team member to become champions of our cause to create a passionate movement and sustainable change in Uganda.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is to lead operations to increase collaboration, community participation, quality and efficiency across all pillars to ensure COF projects have the greatest positive impact. The successful applicant will be committed to the Cotton-On Foundation goal of establishing 20,000 educational places by 2020.The role is a leadership and management role that it will promote improved teaming environments, leadership and community relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Project Coordination
• COF Advocate
•  Team Leadership
•  Financial Management
• Planning and Project Design

WORK CONDITIONS:
The position is based in Masaka, and significant amount of time (approximately 50%) will be expected to be spent in the field supporting and guiding the program as -well as developing! strengthening linkages with partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:

•  Tertiary qualifications in Development, Management or related field.
• Senior Management experience in program management including managing a team and budgets of similar size
   Proven track record in leading teams to success

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ATTRIBUTES AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:

• Excellent communication skills including both English and Luganda.
• An ability to connect with community members and project
•  A belief that through education and sustainable programs, communities in Southern Uganda can be transformed.
   A can-do attitude.
