JOB DETAILS:
Position Title: Civils Supervisor
Office Location: Achwa Project Site, 40 km East of Gulu, Northern Region
Reports To: Civils Manager

Description:
ARPE Ltd is a developer of renewable energy projects in Uganda and is currently developing 4 cascaded rainfall runoff hydro power projects on the Achwa River in Pader District.
ARPE Ltd. consists of two shareholders, Berkeley Energy, who through the Africa Renewable Energy Fund, are the majority shareholder, and PAC SpA, the original developer of the project.
ARPE Ltd. is nearing completion and commissioning of the Achwa HPP2 (41 MW) and wishes to employ a suitably experienced Civil Works Supervisor to follow up construction site activities both at the HPP2 and newly started 42MW Achwa HPP1.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from reputable institution.
  
• Minimum eight years’ construction site experience in supervision and quality control of civil works.
  
• Review proposed materials, designs, manuals, schedules and work plans.
  
• Determine work progress of BOQ items for contractors’ interim payments.
  
• Maintain records of materials and equipment certifi cations, inspection reports.
  
• Endorse acceptance of the various completed works/processes on behalf of the Civils Manager.
  
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  
• Fluency in English (written and oral) is essential.
