Job Description
Background of the project (information about project and the role):
The Feminist Solidarity Fund for Girls Education (FSF) is a consortium funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) comprising the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the Doria Feminist Fund (DFF), the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), and Urgent Action Fund-Africa (UAF-Africa). Over a period of 36 months, the FSF will aim at empowering adolescent girls and advance gender equality in seven target countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, namely Burkina Faso, Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Jordan, Lebanon, and Nigeria. The overall objective of the project is to facilitate feminist CSOs to advance gender-transformative education and empowerment for marginalized adolescent girls, rooted in sustainable and locally driven approaches. The FSF will be supporting feminist and youth led CSOs to accelerate gender equality in and through education. This will be achieved through sub-granting and collaborative organizational capacity strengthening in finance, administrative and technical areas, including research.

Scope of Work:
As part of the Inception Phase, IRC FSF team organizes an Inception Workshop that will bring together the Consortium partners, Technical Units and colleagues working in units strategic to the project for a 3-day workshop. From July 4th to July 6th, in Kampala, all those stakeholders will collaboratively work to revise the workplan; budget and log frame of the project against its expected outcomes.

The consultant is expected to:
1) take note of all the workshop sessions and capture the main outcomes of each session.
2) provide the FSF team with a report, after the workshop, that will synthetize the conversations and outcomes of all the sessions. The report should synthesize all the decisions/action plan/next steps that will be discussed within the consortium to help the FSF team to finalize the revision of key documents
3) The report should be structured in a way that key stakeholders who were not able to participate will understand what happened during those sessions and the rational that led to the final decisions/action plan/next steps.

Deliverables
During the workshop-The consultant is required to participate in all the sessions of the 3-day workshop and take notes of the main session (participants conversation and inputs on flipcharts or any related tools.

After the workshop: no later than 7 days after the end of the workshop, the consultant should provide the IRC FSF team with a well-structured and high-quality report (no more than 20 pages) that will capture the main findings/action plan that will have been discussed during the sessions.
The report should not be a verbatim of what has been said but rather a detailed analysis of what the participants agreed upon during each session with a brief analysis of the rationale behind the final outcomes.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• Excellent writing skills in English.
• Proven record of similar assignments and delivery of high-quality reports
• PHD or a Master’s degree
• Experience in INGO led workshop in strategic development is an asset
• Experience in INGOs/UN a plus.
