Arise and Shine Maize Millers Limited has received funding from Agricultural Business Trust (aBi-Trust) to implement a three years Maize Production Enhancement Project (MaMEP) in the district of Masindi,Kiryadongo and Oyam.
Arise and Shine Maize Millers Ltd is therefore seeking for qualified individuals to fill the following position.

Data Administrator (1)
Work station: Kampala and Kiryadongo
Reporting: Project Manager
Status: Full time

Duty and Responsibility

• Identifies database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
• Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
• Prepares users by conducting training; providing information; resolving problems.
• Design data analysis models and procedures
• Provides information by answering questions and requests at all time.
• Supports database functions by designing and coding facility.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Establish a disaster recovery protocol
• Monitor and maintain system health and security

Position Summary
The Data Administrator offers support to the Project, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Production sections by providing key data to ensure that our customer, product, inventory and farmers information is accurate, complete and current. Utilizing investigative, organizational and analytic skills, the Data Administrator implements and executes data mining projects and creates reports to provide insight into project performance progress, sales, marketing and purchasing opportunities and trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2 years in Data Analysis
• Proficient in other Microsoft Office Programs
• Impeccable Attention to Detail
• Thorough with Strong Analytical Skills
• Investigative and Trouble Shooting Skills
• Organizational and Communication Skills; Able to speak the IT language
• Positive “can do” attitude
