Goldstar is one of the leading Insurance Companies in Uganda. We provide all types of General Insurance services to industrial, commercial, professional firms, Government institutions, individuals and other enterprises throughout Uganda.
We have an exciting opportunity at Goldstar Insurance Companies Limited in the position of Deputy Managing Director, General Insurance to provide leadership, manage and develop the General Insurance business, and take it to the next level.
The Deputy Managing Director will be part of the executive leadership team and will report directly to the Managing Director.

JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR

The key responsibilities will include:

• Further developing the business strategy that delivers sustainable profitable growth and market penetration
• Managing the business development and business operations
• Providing strong leadership ensuring the organization attracts, retains and develops talent across the business
• Overseeing all operations and ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered and maintained to a growing client base
• Managing and developing key relationships with new and existing clients
• Further developing a culture for the business focused on sales and customer service
• Assessing and analysing new market opportunities that could further support the growth of the business

Experience in a leadership role with a strong track record in Insurance will be crucial for the success of this position.
Entrepreneurial skills and ability to bring passion, energy and motivation to a developing business would be considered a plus.
Qualification Requirements: Degree in Law, or Professional Qualification in Finance/Accounting or Professional Insurance Qualification (ACll would be considered a plus).
