JOB DETAILS:
The Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB), a leading christian organization coordinating 311 Member Health facilities spread across all regions in Uganda is implementing a five-year USAID funded Local Service Delivery (HIV/AIDS) Activity in Five sub regions of Acholi, Lango, East central, Eastern and South Western Uganda.
For successful implementation of this project, UPMB is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Director Fianancial Management and Administration, to be based in Kampala.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Director of Financial Management and Administration (DFA) for UPMB-USAID LSDA Project
Responsible for Human Resource/Administration Manager, Finance Manager Finance Mgt Specialist and Project Accountant
Directorate Grants, Finance & Administration
Duty Station Kampala
The DFA:
Responsible for all scorecard targets as allocated to the role of DFA Oversees all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, annual budgeting, pipeline analysis, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting for both the prime contractor and any subawards.
• Maintain and administer an on-site financial accounting and bookkeeping system (Navision) required to assure the integrity and effective performance of financial operations and preparation of reports.
• Ensures that proper human resources and administrative procedures for personnel employment records, time keeping and insurance are in place and in compliance for project.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
• The DFA must at minimum have I A MBA or MSc (Finance & Accounting) from a recognized University in addition to a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Holder (ACCA or CPA) is an added advantage
• A minimum number of 10 years of relevant working experience in administration and financial management role at senior management level
• Ability to demonstrate market knowledge in the health sector and not-for-profit organizations, with a good understanding and managing of USAID project funds.
• Computer literacy with very good knowledge of Navission ERP and MS Office applications
• Mature and ready to uphold the values of UPMB.
