On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Earthworks Superintendent to work in Uganda.
Position: Earthworks Superintendent.
Department: Production.

Job summary:
The Earthworks Superintendent will be responsible for supervision of earthworks operations on the production site.

Key roles and responsibilities.
• Plan & allocates site earthwork crews
• Perform detailed supervision, to ensure a quality installed scope of work that meets project specifications and procedures for all earthworks
• Liaise with the surveying team to ensure correct stouts for all works
• Responsible for monitoring contractors and site teams for competence in all aspects of installation and testing to meet the project specifications.
• Keep up to date the on review of Facilities and HES procedures.
• Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors to ensure the safe execution of all activities, including thrift adherence to company safety policies and programs.
• Monitor project labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment as work progresses and take necessary actions to control as he or she shall determine.
• Has accountability for schedule input and adherence, cost, quality, and project profitability.
• Support positive relationships with clients, designers, consultants and the community.
• Prepare and submit daily reports documenting Jobsite progress and conditions for payment purposes.
• Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, subcontractors, and inspection staff.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or in a related field or training/certificate with 10 years of experience in a related role will be considered in lieu of the required Diploma.
• 18 years of work experience in Civil works operations, project management in production, stock control, monthly, weekly and production planning,
• Advanced knowledge of surface mobile and civil equipment management.
• Advanced knowledge of tool & equipment safety.
• Capable of leading and managing craft and non-craft employees

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
