About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Electrician Foreman to work in Uganda.

Position: Electrician Foreman.
Department: Production.

Job summary:
The Electrician Foreman will be responsible for overseeing electrical design, repair, or installation projects and managing a team of technicians or electricians

Key roles and responsibilities.
• Managing all aspects of the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power lines, electrical systems, fixtures, apparatus, and appliances.
• Supervising the operation of an electrical repair.
• Provide Drainage solutions and installation.
• Providing the customers or clients with a rough estimate of the costs that will be incurred on the work of electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Ensure that the budget is not exceeding, and that proper quality equipment and tools are used.
• Maintain mobile and stationary equipment.
• Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance and commissioning to plant and equipment ensuring that safety guidelines are followed, and any risky activity is not undertaken.
• Maintaining a proper record of the tasks done at the site and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives are maintained.
• Supervise workers to obtain top-quality workmanship and efficiency.
• Ensure workplace safety is practiced and risk assessments to comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Supervise and train employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities from time to time as may be assigned by your immediate supervisor in accordance with your job roles.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher national diploma in electrical engineering or Certificates in a related field with at least 5 years of experience handling plant maintenance on international construction projects will be considered in lieu of the Higher national diploma in electrical engineering.
• 12 years of experience in a power plant, chemical plant, or industrial plant dealing with mechanical equipment including boilers and combustion process, turbines, heat exchangers, condensers, coal handling equipment, compressors, fans, pumps, and ash handling systems, and electrical equipment including generators, transformers, power distribution equipment, motors, and electrical protection systems.
• 5 years of experience working with international construction projects is an added advantage.
• Planning, organizing, and coordinating skills with the ability to work without supervision.
• Excellent supervisory skills.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
• Experience in planning maintenance operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
