JOB DETAILS:
Rainbow International School is a coeducational 2 – 18 years day and boarding school in Kampala, Uganda. As the most established, reputable and largest International school in the country, we deliver the EYFS and IPC curricula in the Primary section, English National curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Cambridge IGCSE and Advanced Level in Key Stages 4 and 5. We also offer BTEC Level 3 courses as an alternative pathway to University.
The Post:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and inspirational practitioner to join our PE/Sports department. The post holder should be able to teach sports and swimming and must be able to teach PE at Key Stages 3 and 4, IGCSE PE. Knowledge of BTEC sport would be an added advantage. We seek to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher who will work alongside the existing PE team and the Swim coach to essentially teach across the full range of our PE curriculum, plus help coordinate sports events and fixtures, increase sports participation and contribute to our enrichment programmes across school. We are looking for a female PE teacher in order to have a female teacher in the PE department next academic year.
The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against covid19 and be a qualified teacher.

• A working knowledge of Google Apps and the confidence to work with IT in the classroom
• Experience of encouraging girls to be active in PE and sports is an added advantage
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Education in Physical Education
• Minimum three years’ experience in teaching PE in a school setting

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
