Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Foreman Structural Works to work in Uganda.
Position: Foreman Structural Works.
Department: Production.

Job summary:
The Structural Foreman Structural Works will be responsible for supervising and scheduling of structural works on the project

Key roles and responsibilities
• Supervise the project plans and schedules and ensuring the construction team’s daily and weekly activities meet production goals related to earthwork.
• Co-ordination of resources – plant, people, materials, equipment to facilitate a safe work culture and is accountable or the safety of the construction team and must understand the legal liability of the role; ensuring the construction team apply the standards for safe working conditions and are fit for work each day.
• Ensures that the completed work meets standards and for recommending work processes that will improve productivity and product quality.
• Accountable for the preparation of reports as required by the employer and management liaison and client interface.
• To be part of the structures management team responsible for the management team responsible for the management and delivery of inspection and self-delivery programs of work
• To have responsibility for resourcing the routine inspection program, including the recruitment and supervision of internal and/or sub contracted staff as required.
• To manage the structures work program by planning, prioritizing, estimating and procuring services to enable the necessary works to ensure the structures stock remains safe and fit for purpose, including the management of sub-contractors.
• To produce and/or check method statements and risk assessments, undertake site audits and ensure safety first in all activities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities from time to time as may be assigned by your immediate supervisor in accordance with your job roles and prevailing conditions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher national diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or certificate/training in a related field with 10 years of experience working on international construction projects.
• 20 years of proven work experience in civil works and mechanic operations with high knowledge in infrastructural operations and structural operations.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pipeline system operations is a must.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with good understanding of construction procedures.
