Job details: The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) is established by the National Agricultural Research Act 2005 as a body corporate responsible for the coordination and oversight of all aspects of agricultural research in Uganda. The Director General invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following positions at NARO Secretariat, Entebbe. Job Title: HEAD INTERNAL AUDIT 1 post
Reports To: Director General
Salary Grade: UH 3

Overall Responsibility:
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and implementing the organizations auditing process and designing innovative strategies for ensuring value for money and for efficient operations.

Minimum qualifications and work experience:

• Applicants should be Ugandans holding a good degree in Commerce, Financial Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting/Finance option from a recognized University. 
• Must have an A level certificate with at least two principal passes. 
• Possess a professional accounting qualification e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or any other internationally recognized professional accounting qualification. 
• Must be a member Accountancy professional body such as CPA (U) or ACCA. 
• Professional training in auditing is desirable 
• Applicants must have at least five years’ experience of heading an internal Audit Department/Unit in a reputable organization. 

Age Limit: Applicants must not be above 50 years.
