Our client, a reputable commercial bank registered by Bank of Uganda is looking for experienced, professionally astute, self-motivated and committed team players. Interested applicants should possess requisite qualifications and skills to enable them carry-out the responsibilities below.

Job Title: Head of ICT

Tasks/Responsibilities:

•  Contributing to the development of the Bank’s strategic and business plan, in relation to ICT
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining a financial management process
•  Developing the ICT continuity plan/DRP and ensuring that it is implemented, tested and maintained
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining a software management strategy that ensures compliance with software licenses
•  Developing, implementing, and maintaining the ICT security policy
•  Developing, implementing, and maintaining and proactively communicate ICT policies and procedures
• Ensuring that all ICT procurement is undertaken in accordance with the procurement policies and procedures
• Taking responsibility for ICT staff are appropriately motivated and trained
• Ensuring that the performance of ICT staff is appraised and assessed'
• Developing and implementing data security policies should possess requisite qualifications and skills to enable
•  Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to support ICT service level management, ICT change management and ICT configuration management.

Qualification, Skills and Personal Specifications

• A degree in Computer related subject or equivalent
•  Professional qualifications such as CCNA, MCP, OCP, MCDBA
• At least 6+ years broad experience in the design, development and implementation of information technology and communications systems
• Comprehensive experience of developing, supporting and managing information and communications systems with appropriate controls and budget processes.
• Substantial management experience and experience of managing IT project and budget
• Understanding of computer systems, computer application and operating systems
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
•  Employee development and performance management skills
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
• The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, self- driven and s/he should be 30- 45 years.
