JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for milk procurement extension & production enhancement activities.
• Collect & analysis of milk data & planning for increased volumes.
• Planning and scheduling the work of the processing staff and supervisors
• Liaise with the farmers groups and suppliers in ensuring that the milk quality standards are adhered to
• Oversee the grading, cooling and transportation of raw milk to the main factory
• Coordinate ISO/HACCP implementation
• Conduct route and plant audit and advise staff on the process
• Over and conduct farmers training on clean milk production and attending raw milk procurement meetings.
• Monitor and advise MPE staff on key performance indicators
• Assist in the initial set up of all cooling plants
• Train and monitor and put in place a quality control team
• Plan, organize and monitor field operations to all bulking centers and transportation to the main factory
• Oversee and ensure CIP standards are adhered to in all MPE centers and areas of operation
• Ensure proper maintenance of all MPE records
• Oversee and ensure milk reconciliation at factory (Logistics) as well as BCC.
• Oversee and supervise/monitoring work of MPE logistics team.
• Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by your immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree in Food Science and Technology or Agriculture or Animal Production from recognized University/Institution (Masters of Science in Agriculture is an added advantage).
• Management and supervisory skills
• Knowledge and good understanding of Diary Technology
• Should be exposed in Quality Management Systems
