JOB DETAILS:
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews and analysis all shipping documents for accuracy
• Picks up documents from the forwarders(air/land) and makes customs declarations/entries for all imports through customs at the point of entry to point of exit
• Makes tax declarations and handling charges, forwards to Accounts for payment
• Handles exports
• Operates the Customs Asycuda systems and manual booking of all customs transactions
• Prioritizes and plans workload for daily, weekly and monthly for the incoming and outgoing consignments for the Company group of companies.
• Arranges transportation of goods to factory (LCL & Entebbe airport consignments), assists the store keeper to verify consignments on delivery
• Booking of air shipments with carriers
• Records and files documents for customs audits and makes customs reports.
• Follows up on customs laws and regulations and communicates changes to relevant person in the company
• Local purchase and follow up on purchases for the sister companies.
• Follows up the special licenses and certifications from the government agencies
• Observe and participate in the Company Way 4.0
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain management, Procurement and logistics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a warehousing, logistics, supply chain or similar environment.
• Substantial previous experience in a complex environment, working with multiple stakeholders
