JOB DETAILS:
About The Role
We are a little different. We are looking for people who have fundamental skills in accounting, finance, and investment, however, who are able to go outside of their comfort zones and take on new challenges.

In a way, a “jack of all trades, master of none”. Are you the type to take on a task that falls outside of your ‘job description’? Are you willing to take on any task, even if outside of your department? When you take on a task or project, will you put everything you have into it, even though it may not be something you like? Are you a numbers person but willing to do public speaking engagements or presentations to groups? If you know balance sheets really well, are you able to write comprehensive analysis on issues
you know nothing about? If you can answer ‘yes’ to all these questions, and any other one similar to it, then we are interested in speaking to you.
Side B Partners (“Side B”) is a boutique corporate and investment advisory firm focused on innovation in Eastern Africa. Our headquarters is in (Ebene) Mauritius with offices in Kampala, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya. Our team identifies high quality opportunities that deliver value to shareholders and stakeholders impacting not just the economy over the long term but social and environmental impact as well.

Our passions include relationship management, brand integrity, and innovation. What sets us apart is a combined package of technical financial advisory focused on innovation, innovation strategy & management, access to influential networks and capital, and a diverse and qualified team on the ground.

The company offers services such as corporate and investment advisory, project design and management, and asset management.
Side B has worked with key innovation stakeholders i.e., incubators and accelerators, raising capital for the largest innovation hub in the region. We have also designed a venture capital fund for one of the largest global foundations and this experience has given us more insights around the strengths and opportunities within the business building (venture) ecosystem. Outside of business building, Side B has provided financial advisory services to various businesses across industry sectors (such as technology, healthcare, education, renewable energy, manufacturing, trading, transportation, infrastructure, and others), assisting specifically with capital raising and strategy. In managing funds for different partners and projects, we understand what makes projects feasible, profitable, and impactful.
