JOB DETAILS:

Duty Station: Kampala
Remuneration: T3 according to Tamani Scale Contract
Type: Renewable
Contract Period: 3 Years
Reports to: Director of Operations

Role:
Lead all creative and innovative product design, market research, foster the spirit of innovations and creativity among company technical staff and provide trainings to the company staff about new products

Duties
1. The R&D manager is the company’s creative director responsible for leading and coordinating all creative work for the company
2. Design and implement market research techniques for company product as well as monitoring and evaluation tools for market perception of company products and services
3. Design education tools about new products and services to the company staff, public, shareholders, stakeholders and partners.
4. Provide creative centre roles for staff within the technical departments for creation new products and services .
5. Create collaboration for research and development on local, regional and international platiforms to create partnerships that add value to the company
6. Design , develop, implement and update from time to time the company’s research and development policy that guides all research and creative standards for company products and services
7. Design key performance indicators for staff in research and development, appraise all staff and assist in recruitment and training
8. Design, develop , implement and update the intellectual property policy that guides the protection of company creative work from unauthorized users

Qualifications
1. Master’s in business administration
2. Minimum 5-year experience working in Product Management, Product Development or Product Design processes
3. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills (English)
4. Creative and problem-solving skills able to conceptualize new products and create solutions.

Level of Education: Associate Degree
