JOB DETAILS:
Duties and responsibilities
• Introduction of cultural and operational changes in the functioning elements of service delivery
• Expected to spend approximately 70% of your time out in the field in order to monitor and support field operative crew through active supervision, site visits, liaison on complaints, PPE administration to ensure safety regulations are adhered to etc.
• Responsible for the development & proactive surveillance of crew members to enable delivery of accurate recycling material to MRF in a safe and effective way.
• Ensuring the required vehicles and equipment are available to complete services on a daily basis.
• Provide an overview of the day-to-day and week-week direction of waste collection, overseeing operational aspects such as staffing levels, PPE, bins/bin bag distribution and the promotion and supervision of safe working practices.
• Proactively lead delivery of a high – quality service, including insuring that regular views of team loaders, drivers & supervisors during the performance of their duties takes place.
• Lead on effective communications with field operatives, including meetings, both at office and out on site, on a regular basis.
• Manage attendance, carrying out return to work interviews, including meeting with individuals and seeking advice from occupational health as required, ensuring sickness, absence levels are within the employing company targets on an ongoing basis.
• May be required to offer operational support to ensure operations service is undertaken -including driving.
• Ensure recruitment of quality and customer – oriented field operatives
• Work hard to ensure client satisfaction and consistent growth in revenue
• Prepare, revise and submit reports and other operational documentation
• Ensuring team supervisors and drivers lead crews effectively and consistently.
• Lead and manage disciplinary, sickness, and absence, grievance cases in conjunction with HR & the HSE as necessary. Accountable for timely and thorough management of all cases.
• Ensuring the work environment that protects the health and safety of the public and staff.
• Work with HSE & HR to ensure that all staff receive appropriate training to enable them understand their role, and that it is appropriately recorded
• Ensuring every supervisor is assigned with a route plan for the smooth flow of work
• Be the point of contact for members of the public or commercial customers, feeding back areas of concern to the right place.
• Demonstrate leadership in spotting and challenging unsafe behaviour and driving supportive and safe culture for all staff.
• Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.
• Developing measures to assure personnel safety.

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Business Administration or a related field
• At least 2 years working experience in a reputable organization.
• Ability to work for long hours with minimum or less supervision.
