JOB DETAILS:
Reports to: Factory Manager Supervises: Fabricators, Machinist and Assistants, Vehicle Mechanic and Assistants Shift Technicians, Plumber, Carpenter
Job Purpose: The Production Assistant-Workshop and Maintenance is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities for Uganda Clays Limited. The role is accountable for performing its duties in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with health, environmental and safe regulations. .

Key responsibilities:
• Contribute towards strategic & operational planning, ensuring that the factory machinery supports accomplishment of production targets.
• Ensure that Operation of machinery & vehicles are fully Maintained.
• Designing and redesigning mechanical systems.
• Ensure that Uganda Clays' quality and safety procedures are implemented in the maintenance department at all times.
• To lead the maintenance Team in a manner that empowers them to efficiently produce correct standards and quantity of Products.

Job requirements;
• Degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing companies.
• Experience in team leadership
