Introduction
The Water Trust empowers rural communities in Uganda to reduce preventable death and dabistating diseases by enabling access to safe water and a healthy, clean environment. Since 2008. The Water Trust his partnered with more than 800 communities in Masindi and Kiryandango, benefitting more than 250,000 people. The Water Trust aims to increase the scale of its operations and pioneer new approaches to increasing the impact and sustainability of water, sanitation, and hygiene programs
The Water Trust (TWT) in partnership with Charity Water, Deerfield. The Water Project, and The Coca Cols Foundation is implementing a WASH Program across sub counties in Kiryandongo and Masind District.
In line with the current Labour Laws of Ugands, every employer is required to provide Workman's Compensation (WMCI Insurance Cover (for both accidental injury and diseasel as a basic minimum to all its employees. However, since WMC only covers employees while traveling to their duty station or on approved duty travel and while at the duty station, TWT opted to improve the scope of the cover to include a 24/7 coverage as well as a life cover for its employees. The result of this improvement is the Group Personal Accident and Life Assurance Cover(GPALL
Therefore, The Water Trust is hereby calling for proposals from eligible insurance firms, to provide it with Group Personal Accident and Life Assurance Cover (BPA /L) for the period 17 September 2023 to 18" September 2024, in line with the Terms of reference.
