On behalf of our client Mota-Engil Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Plant Quarry Foreman to work in Uganda.

Position: Quarry Foreman.
Department: Production.

Job summary:
The Quarry Foreman will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the quarry activities

Key roles and responsibilities.
• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard
• Providing active leadership and management of safety processes and culture to minimize risk in all operations activities
• Liaising with staff on site and dealing with any technical or staffing challenges that arise
• Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high-quality of product is maintained
• Assessing equipment and production material levels
• Ordering new items as required for quarry procedures
• Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard
• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of overhead work

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher national diploma in civil engineering or certificate/training in a related field with 5 years of experience working with an international construction company.
• 18 years of proven work experience in quarry operations with high knowledge of operating quarry equipment and understanding of quarry procedures.
• Past and current work experience in a quarry is a must.
• Experience working on international construction projects is an added advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
