TechnoServe Uganda, in partnership with Wageningen University and Research (WUR), BID Capital Partners, and PUM Netherlands, is implementing the Horticulture Market Acceleration Project (HortiMAP), funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in three regions of Uganda- Elgon region, Kigezi region and the Lake Victoria crescent.

Construction Works

LOT 1: Construction of Ambient Storage facilities: stores for Onions (South western Uganda)

LOT 2: Construction of Ambient Storage facilities: stores for Onions (Eastern Uganda)

Location of works performance

LOT 1: Companies responding to this lot must have the capacity to deliver the products and services in the HortiMAP Southwest Region: Kabale, Kanungu, Kisoro, Rubanda, Rukiga, , Ntungamo and the surrounding locations

LOT 2: Companies responding to this lot must have the capacity to deliver the products and services in the HortiMAP Eastern Region: Mbale, Sironko, Bulambuli Manafwa, Kween, Kapchorwa, Tororo, Butaleja and the surrounding location

Additional considerations

HortiMAP is interested in entities that seek to develop long-term relationships with smallholder and entrepreneurial farmers and vendors; and select companies will provide construction of a similar nature for a period of more than six months

The BOQS and drawings for this construction is available on request

The companies responding to the call should provide the prices as per the BOQ and also share a summary of the detailed material schedule.

Companies can only apply for a single LOT; however, if a company has physical presence in both locations, they can apply for both lots.

Application process

Bid Issuance: A complete tender documents that includes a BOQ, drawings and RFQ may be requested via email from cawanyo@tns.org  from 5th Jan 2023 to 14th Jan 2023 from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Bid Submission: To be considered for evaluation, interested parties should ensure they submit a fully completed BOQ, proposal, construction schedule, material schedule and all required/relevant documentation. All completed applications/proposal must be saved in pdf format and sent to buy+UG+P0016737@tns.org  copying tendersug@tns.org  by or before 11:59 pm on January 17th, 2023. Successful firms shall be notified within three weeks of the submission deadline.

 Late submissions will not be accepted, and any form of lobbying will lead to disqualification.

 Application must clearly state the Lot applied for.
