Job Overview:
Supervise and leads all activities concerned with scaffolding work aspects of a construction project. Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficiency and timely completion of the project. Able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, following policies, procedures and safety work practices, and developing improvements where necessary. Reports functionally to the Construction Manager.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all work is performed safely in compliance with clients and company’s HSE standards, requirements and objectives.
• Supervise all Scaffolding related activities.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure scaffolding work as per priorities and avoid reward / replication of scaffolding.
• Prepare and monitor resource planning (equipment, consumables and manpower) for Scaffolding.
• Troubleshoot technical problems that may affect the construction and liaise with construction/ engineering team for the resolution by providing scaffolding and temporary works design schemes.
• Anticipate/propose solutions in order scaffolding and access to construction activities.
• Analysing integrity of scaffolding and temporary works structures.
• To perform other activities and tasks that may be assigned from time to time by management.
• Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors).
• Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
• High school graduate with minimum 5+ years’ experience in Scaffold Erection and Dismantling, preferably in an oil and gas related environment.
• Major fabrication/construction site experience. Demonstrable similar scope experience if not energy industry related.
• Familiar with construction standards and code of practices
• Computer skills - MS Office Suite.
