Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Senior Drill Rig & Crane Operator to work in Uganda.

Position: Senior Drill Rig & Crane Operator.
Department: Production.

Job summary:
The role holder will be responsible for the operation of drilling rigs equipment.

Key roles and responsibilities
• Operating machinery used in the drilling process such as pumps, motors, and valves.
• Observing oilfield conditions such as drilling fluid levels, mud weights, and fluid rates.
• Operating machines that perform tests on samples of rock cuttings collected during drilling operations.
• Communicating regularly with other crew members to ensure that operations are proceeding as planned.
• Operating a crane to lift equipment, tools, materials, and supplies onto rigs or barges.
• Coordinating with other workers to schedule repairs or maintenance of equipment.
• Operate drilling rigs to bore holes in the earth to locate oil or gas deposits.
• Maintaining the safety of the work site by ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that all safety procedures are followed.
• Monitoring well sites for signs of environmental damage such as erosion or chemical contamination.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities from time to time as may be assigned by your immediate supervisor in accordance with your job roles and prevailing conditions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher national diploma in mechanical engineering or certificate/training in a related field with 5 years of experience working on international construction projects.
• 12 years of proven work experience in advanced machine operations.
• Training in machine operation is a must.
• 5 years’ experience in pipeline operations is a must.
• Excellent communication skills.
