Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Senior Quarry Foreman to work in Uganda.
Position: Senior Quarry Foreman.
Department: Plant & Equipment.

Job summary:
The Senior Quarry Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and managing the team at the quarry by delegating tasks and monitoring daily activities.

Key roles and responsibilities
• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard.
• Providing active leadership and management of safety processing and culture to minimize risk in all operations activities
• Liaising with staff on site and dealing with any technical or staffing challenges that arise
• Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained
• Assessing equipment and production materials levels
• Ordering new items as required for quarry procedures
• Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard
• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of overhead work
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate, supervisor in accordance with job roles company policy and/or prevailing conditions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher national diploma in civil engineering or certificate/training in a related field with 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Training in quarry explosive management is a must.
• 20 years of proven work experience in geotechnical work operations.
• Advanced knowledge in implementation of quality management systems, execution of aggregate tests and ornamental rocks.
• Advanced knowledge of explosive equipment and good understanding and implementation of health and safety procedures at the quarry site.

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
