Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Senior Workshop Foreman to work in Uganda.
Position: Senior Workshop Foreman.
Department: Plant & Equipment.

Job summary:
The Senior Workshop Foreman will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians.

Key roles and responsibilities
• Planning, assigning and reviewing the works of all mechanics and electricians in the workshop.
• Commute to the job site to conduct equipment inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests.
• Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard.
• Ensures that the work environment is consistent with that of the construction equipment yard and repair shop.
• Ensures that the required PPEs are available to perform work and support safety training.
• Preparing daily production records and completing quality reports.
• Arrange for materials to be at the construction site and evaluate plans for each construction job.
• To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety, and environment policies, and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.
• To ensure that vehicles are maintained and serviced in accordance with departmental service standards.
• To ensure that the workshop environment and operating practices are of a high standard and that special tools and equipment are well maintained

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Higher National Diploma in Mechanical engineering or an equivalent or certificate/training in a related field with 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• 12 years of work experience in heavy machine inspections and operations.
• Has proven knowledge and ability in Engine and gearboxes repairs, and performs fault diagnosis tests.
• Good knowledge of maintenance of asphalt plants.
• Good knowledge of Quarriers and concrete plants

Experience in Months: 120

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
