About Pollicy
Pollicy is an award-winning feminist civic technology collective. Our work and research spans across the use and implementation of data and technology to engineer social change. In the recent past, we have researched ways through which Africans can take back control of their data and reimagine new ways of tech ownership.
Pollicy is looking for a Strategy Consultant. The overall objective of this consultancy is to develop a 3-year strategic plan to support Pollicy to fulfill the organisation’s mandate.
Scope:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced strategy consultant to help us develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the next 3 years. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to analyze our current situation, identify key opportunities and challenges, and develop a clear and actionable plan to help us achieve our goals.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a thorough analysis of our organization’s current position, including our mission, values, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Work with key stakeholders to identify strategic goals and objectives for the next 3 years.
• Develop a comprehensive plan that outlines specific thematic areas, strategic goals, and action items to achieve our goals.
• Be up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in the feminist tech space and incorporate them into the organization’s strategic plan as appropriate.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams and stakeholders to ensure that the strategic plan is aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.
Consultancy Competencies, Experience and Skill Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience as a strategy consultant, with a proven track record of developing successful strategic plans for African-based organisations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to review internal documentation as well as external communications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge and understanding of feminist principles and experience working with feminist organizations is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of emerging technological trends, the digital rights ecosystem as well as data innovations and their potential impact on the feminist tech space is a plus.
